STAT! Soroptimists Together Against Trafficking invites you to join us as present an informative Zoom webinar – Disinformation on the Internet and how it’s affecting the fight against human trafficking.
From QAnon’s conspiracy theories about child sex trafficking and satanic sex abuse at the highest levels of government to the inflated successes of some organizations that allegedly are freeing individuals from trafficking situations, the Internet often enables the hi-jacking of legitimate work in the fight against human trafficking.
STAT’s panel of local university researchers and an investigative reporter dive into the truth and the ease in which disinformation proliferates on the Internet. This free one-hour webinar includes time to ask questions of our experts.
